This development from Mettler Toledo captures axle, axle group and gross weights of trucks moving at speeds up to 5 mph. By eliminating the need to stop each truck, the company says TruckPass processes the same number of trucks as five static scales in a fraction of the time while reducing safety risks. TruckPass can be used for checkweighing, enforcement or legal-for-road weighing. For select states that adopted new legal-for-trade weigh-in-motion legislation starting in 2022, this product can be used to buy and sell bulk goods.

A new integration is available for the Fast-Weigh ticketing, dispatching and bulk material management platform. According to TAC Insight, all ticketing and order data can now be integrated seamlessly with Avalara tax compliance software, providing bulk material producers the option to fully automate tax handling across their entire Fast-Weigh system. Fast-Weigh’s Avalara integration allows users to streamline tax compliance by removing the need to select tax codes for individual orders or dispatches. As users add products to an order, TAC Insight says Avalara will determine the appropriate tax and assign corresponding tax codes automatically, removing steps and allowing more members of user teams to manage orders without worrying about tax rates.
