CRH’s John Hay, left, presented a Rock Star Award to Rep. Troy Balderson (R-Ohio) on the last day of the Legislative & Policy Forum. As NSSGA describes, Balderson has advanced policies that help the aggregate industry since he was elected to Congress in 2018. He helped to lead the passage of the ROCKS Act, which was ultimately included in the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act. Balderson also regularly aligns with the industry to push back on new regulation and “red tape.” NSSGA’s Rock Star Awards are given annually to members of Congress who go above and beyond for the industry.

Yet another recipient of an NSSGA Rock Star Award this year is Rep. Greg Stanton (D-Arizona). As a longtime member of the House Transportation Committee and the former mayor of Phoenix, NSSGA says Stanton knows the value of infrastructure investments in terms of continuing success for local communities and the economy.
