The return of AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo means the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is back along with it.

The induction ceremony makes its return following a gap year in 2023 due to ConExpo-Con/Agg. This month’s black-tie gala takes place at the Omni Nashville Hotel on March 24 – the evening before the start of AGG1 in Nashville.

Four men who made lasting marks on the aggregate industry will be honored during the induction ceremony. Tom Hill (Summit Materials), Neil Hise (Cemco), Louis Johnson (El-Jay Manufacturing) and Charlie Luck IV (Luck Stone) were selected for enshrinement as members of the 2024 class. They will join the 36 others who were inducted to the Hall of Fame over the past 11 years.

“We are thrilled to be able to present such a worthy and deserving class in 2024,” says Rob Fulop, publisher of Pit & Quarry. “These gentlemen have dedicated their lives to their craft. All four are very well known to those who have spent any time at all in this great industry.”

The Hall of Fame festivities begin at 7 p.m. March 24 with a cocktail reception that will be followed by dinner at 8 p.m. and the induction ceremony shortly thereafter.

Tickets for the ceremony can be purchased at pitandquarryhalloffame.com/tickets. Dinner and drinks are included with each ticket purchase, but ticket quantities are limited.

While the aggregate industry will honor Hill, Hise, Johnson and Luck in Nashville, P&Q pays tribute to the 2024 class within this month’s edition. The inductees’ replica plaques will ultimately be on display at the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum in Leadville, Colorado, following the March 24 celebration.
