Kleemann’s Mobicone MCO 90(i) EVO2 mobile cone crusher and Mobirex MR 110(i) EVO2 mobile impact crusher can now be fitted with a double-deck post screening unit as an option. With the optional double-deck post screening unit, Kleemann says it is now possible to produce two classified final product sizes without utilizing an additional screening plant. According to the company, the screening surface makes screening sizes less than 7/8 in. especially effective. The discharge height of the fines conveyor is designed for a maximum stockpile volume, Kleemann says, while oversize material can be processed in a closed circuit via a return conveyor. As an option, Kleemann says the conveyor can be swiveled hydraulically by up to 100 degrees – making side discharge a possibility.

Mobile screening plant new to the market

Astec Industries launched the GT2612V as a mobile high-frequency screening plant. The plant features a 2612V Vari-Vibe high-frequency screen. According to Astec, the two-deck, 6-ft. x 12-ft. screen uses a rotary tensioning system that allows for quick screen media changes. The 2612V has deck-mounted, variable-speed hydraulic vibrators, a hydraulic mechanism for varying operating angles, a fines-collecting hopper, top- and bottom-deck discharge chutes and an aggregate spreader. The high-frequency screen can quickly and efficiently size crushed stone, recycled asphalt pavement, sand, gravel and a variety of other materials, Astec says. The GT2612V is manufactured on a welded steel main frame with a channel cross section. A walkway around the screen and remote grease lubrication for ground-level access make maintenance simple, the company adds.

Tires for trucks, loaders and other equipment

The STL3 radial tire line from Titan International includes a range of sizes for articulated dump trucks, wheel loaders and scrapers used in quarry applications. Sizes include the 20.5R25, 23.5R25, 26.5R25 and 29.5R25, as well as the 750/65R25 and 875/65R29. Featuring an E-3/L-3 non-directional tread pattern and center-riding rib, Titan says the STL3 lineup provides excellent traction, a smooth ride and a long life. Its full-width shoulder lug provides lateral stability. Available in cut-resistant and wear-resistant compounds, it is suitable for a range of conditions.

Drilling innovation allows for hands-free bit changes

Epiroc introduced an automatic bit changer for hands-free bit changes on Pit Viper 270 and Pit Viper 290 series drill rigs used in rotary drilling. The automatic bit changer option is designed to change rotary tricone bits faster than manual exchanges, Epiroc says, eliminating human interaction with drill string for safer, more efficient operation. According to Epiroc, operators can do bit changes with a single touch of a button and stay informed on their screen. Operators can make or break joints, select drill bits and add or remove them. Bit changes can be done either from a control room or from the cab. A carousel design allows up to four bits to be changed faster and safer than a single manual exchange, Epiroc adds. The removable bit carousel can store rotary tricone bits in varying sizes and cutting structure. The automatic bit changer is available for new drills and retrofit of drills already in the field.

C&W DustTech’s Bag Pulse (BP) central dust collectors are designed to handle heavy, abrasive dust to help eliminate excess environmental pollution in aggregate and mining processes. Equipped with pulse jet technology and filter bags, the BP collectors make for a dust collection system that eliminates confined space issues. C&W DustTech says the system features toolless media exchange, a high cleaning capacity and top loading of filter media. It is constructed with a blowpipe that cleans bags with compressed, clean and dry air at 100 psi.
