Bucyrus-Armstrong 27T blasthole drill

The Bucyrus-Armstrong 27T electric blasthole drill revolutionized drilling costs for iron ore. This blasthole drill is shown in action at the Richmond mine in Michigan. This machine is one many drills acquired by Bucyrus-Erie when they purchased the Armstrong Drill Co. in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1932.
