Argonics protection system reduces stress, damage to tires

Argonics unveiled its OTR sidewall protector at the 2019 AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo in Indianapolis.

Made from a specially formulated polyurethane, the OTR sidewall protector design helps keep tires safe from puncture and other damage. According to Argonics, the material has the ability to change shape under heavy load pressure before returning to its original shape once a load is removed.

Designed as a modular system, the sidewall protector installs in about 15 minutes – once certified personnel install the special flange. The system requires virtually no maintenance upkeep, the company adds, other than re-torqueing bolts after 15 to 20 hours of use.

Argonics, headquartered in Gwinn, Michigan, produces wear-resistant polyurethane products and provides urethane solutions.
