TRUX, a dump truck logistics company, hired Jay Pennington as chief technology officer.

In the new role, Pennington will lead technical strategy, software architecture and product development efforts for the company.

“Our mission at TRUX is to modernize the construction industry – a sector largely left behind by technology – through innovative software that efficiently manages logistics,” says Bart Ronan, CEO of TRUX. “With Jay joining the team, we can deliver even more advanced technology offerings to further optimize the hauling process.”

Most recently, Pennington was senior vice president of product development at Bullhorn, a cloud computing company that helps staffing and recruiting organizations transform their businesses. Pennington has held a variety of leadership positions managing the growth of technical operations, experience design and R&D teams at Bullhorn, Thomson-Reuters and US Bank.

Pennington is a 23-year veteran of product technology and a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.

“For the past six years, TRUX has helped countless material producers, trucking companies, and contractors overhaul their trucking operations,” Pennington says. “As CTO, I plan to build on this accomplishment by creating a robust product roadmap and leveraging my deep technical experience to deliver the best trucking platform on the market.”
