StonePoint Materials acquires Standard Gravel

StonePoint MaterialsStonePoint Materials purchased Standard Gravel Co., a producer of sand and gravel serving eastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi from four active mine sites.

The acquisition will complement and expand Southern Aggregates, a subsidiary of StonePoint and the largest sand and gravel producer in Louisiana.

In addition, Spencer Green, the great-grandson of Standard Gravel’s founder, will join Southern Aggregates.

StonePoint Materials is a producer of crushed stone, sand and gravel serving end markets, including commercial and residential construction, energy and infrastructure. The company produces about 9 million tons of aggregate each year while operating several subsidiaries across nine states.
