Power Equipment acquires Golden Equipment

Power Equipment Co. acquired Golden Equipment Co., a full-service equipment dealership with locations in Albuquerque and Farmington, New Mexico, and Durango, Colorado.

The acquisition increases Power Equipment’s presence in New Mexico and southern Colorado with additional equipment and support solutions in the rolling stock, compact, aggregate, crane and paving, and compaction segments of the construction market.

Power Equipment, which is headquartered in Denver, currently has another three locations in Colorado (Colorado Springs, Grand Junction and Greeley); one in Casper, Wyoming; one each in Albuquerque and Farmington, New Mexico, and one in Kansas City, Missouri.

Golden Equipment, founded in 1985, represents brands such as Volvo Construction Equipment, Cedarapids, Gomaco, Blaw-Knox, Entyre and more.

Power Equipment says that with these adjacent territories and synergies among key product lines such as Volvo Construction Equipment and others, the company will be able to provide shared resources, including equipment fleet, parts inventory and service offerings.
