Motion Industries names West Group VP

Motion IndustriesMotion Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Co., named Jeremy Barton as vice president of the company’s West Group.

In his new role, Barton will be responsible for leading Motion’s West Group operations.

“We are very happy with the selection of Jeremy as the West Group vice president,” says Randy Breaux, president of Motion Industries. “Jeremy has earned this position through his leadership and performance over the past years. I am excited about the future of the West Group under Jeremy’s direction.”

Barton’s previous experience comes from a variety of roles with Motion Industries. Most recently, Barton served as Mountain Division sales manager, a position he was promoted to in 2016. He also has worked as an industry sales manager, branch manager in Salt Lake City, and has provided technical, sales and operations guidance for the company’s growing industrial services platform in the west.

In addition, Barton obtained Six Sigma/Lean/5S certification in 2011 and also holds various business management, technical and leadership certifications.

“Jeremy brings valuable experience and expertise to this position, and we are confident that he will succeed in leading the West Group,” says Kevin Storer, executive vice president of U.S. operations at Motion Industries. “I know he’ll do an outstanding job driving our key field initiatives.”
