Molson Group, a U.K. equipment dealer, acquired Powerscreen Western.

The purchase is Molson Group’s third in the last couple of years, following the acquisitions of Powerscreen of California and Powerscreen of Washington.

The deal for Powerscreen Western expands Molson Group’s coverage to Arizona, giving the organization representation in nine U.S. states.

“This acquisition further develops our footprint in the U.S. market, providing significant opportunity to replicate our U.K. model in the U.S. and offer customers a broad range of market-leading products,” says Jason Powles, COO of Molson Group. “We have already engaged with a number of OEMs, including Kobelco, Fuchs and Spaleck, which will be offered to our customers across our U.S. locations.”

Powerscreen Western offers a variety brands, including Terex brands such as Powerscreen, EvoQuip, CBI and Ecotec. With distribution and aftersales support throughout Arizona and southern Nevada, Powerscreen Western will continue to operate under the Powerscreen Western name and benefit from the back-office support of Molson Group.

Gerald McCarthy, Powerscreen Western’s founder, is excited about the opportunity for growth and the resource expansion Molson Group offers.

“We felt a strong fit with the Molson team and their approach – a total commitment to customer service, a comprehensive product range and a culture of looking after its people,” McCarthy says. “This, combined with the huge benefits Molson brings with its operational capability, makes for an exciting new direction for the future of this business and our customers.”
