McLanahan Corp. finalized its acquisition of Diefenbach, a manufacturer of filter presses and thickeners based in Italy.

Diefenbach will continue to operate as an independent brand in the marketplace and continue to support its customers globally. Diefenbach is also partnering with Eagle Iron Works (EIW), a McLanahan brand, to provide a line of filter presses and thickeners to EIW customers looking to purchase a complete tailings management and water recycling solution from one vendor.

“As the focus on sustainability and creating a circular economy within the materials processing industry continues to grow, the need for water recycling and tailings management is more important than ever,” says Cory Jenson, executive vice president of sales and business development at McLanahan. “This acquisition complements McLanahan’s existing line of tailings and water management solutions and allows us to offer more competitive solutions to our customers around the globe.”

According to McLanahan, Diefenbach has designed and manufactured liquid-solid separation equipment since 1907. Diefenbach provides solutions for filtration and dewatering applications in a range of industries, including aggregates.

McLanahan and Diefenbach have partnered on projects since 2013. McLanahan says the now-expanded partnership will allow it to better serve customers around the world while offering a more comprehensive solution to water recycling and tailings management to help customers meet changing processing requirements.
