Kobelco: SK485 Mark 9
The Tier 4 SK485 Mark 9 excavator, the largest of the Kobelco Mark 9 series, delivers up to 15 percent improvement in fuel efficiency while maintaining the productivity of previous models, the company says. The excavator features an upgrade to Kobelco’s hydraulics and a new economy power mode that delivers 15 percent better fuel efficiency for normal digging conditions, as compared to previous models. The SK485 Mark 9 also features a Tier 4 Interim Hino engine that’s equipped with cooled exhaust gas recirculation emission technology. Delivering 345 hp, the SK485 features an operating weight of 111,774 lbs. and a dig depth of 25 ft., 7.5 in.
