FRD-USA opened a branch facility in Reno, Nevada.

The 9,000-sq.-ft. facility stocks down-the-hole and top-hammer crawler drills and rock drill parts, and it handles shop and field service.

Additionally, the facility is where technicians carry out the FRD-USA Encore breaker rebuild program.

As FRD-USA describes, the Reno facility expands its sales and service area to offer faster delivery of new products across the West. FRD-USA also operates sales and service locations in Kent, Ohio and Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Separately, FRD-USA named Skip Barnes regional sales manager for the North Central’s breaker attachment division. Barnes is responsible for strengthening relationships and volume with the company’s dealer network, as well as increasing breaker attachment sales.

Barnes’ territory includes Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin and central Canada. He takes over for Tim Carroll, who transitions within FRD-USA to serve as regional sales manager for the company’s Western region.
