Educational events on deck for asphalt recyclers

arra-logoThe Asphalt Recycling & Reclaiming Association (ARRA) is offering three upcoming seminars focused on in-place recycling.

The first seminar will take place Aug. 9-10 in Fargo, N.D., with a second seminar Aug. 16-17 in Lake Geneva, Wis. The 2016 International and Western States In-Place Recycling Conference in Englewood, Colo., will also offer a seminar Oct. 19-20.

According to ARRA, the seminars in Fargo and Lake Geneva are forums of pavement professionals representing state, local and federal agencies, contractors, suppliers, consultants, academia and others. The seminars will provide a platform for national pavement professionals to present technologies that became the building blocks of the “Basic Asphalt Recycling Manual.”

The seminar in Englewood will include presentations on low temperature cracking; polymers in microsurfacing; balanced mix design; re-refined engine oil bottoms and vacuum tower asphalt extenders; improved durability by increasing density; formulation of engineered emulsions; cold central plant recycling; state of practice; international activities; mixture design; structural design; performance lessons learned and more.
