The earthmoving and material handling team at Liebherr plans to present several pieces of equipment at World of Asphalt, which co-locates with AGG1.

Among the offerings Liebherr will showcase in Booth 2031 are the L 580 XPower wheel loader, the TA 230 articulated dump truck (ADT) and the R 914 compact crawler excavator.

According to Liebherr, its XPower line of wheel loaders incorporates a power-split transmission. This travel drive provides for maximum fuel efficiency while reducing operating costs and environmental impact and delivering maximum performance. The XPower travel drive, in combination with an automatic self-locking differential, provides excellent traction and prevents wheels from spinning, Liebherr says.

The TA 230 ADT, meanwhile, was developed for rugged off-road use. Its drivetrain, permanent all-wheel drive, traction control and axle mounts enable the dump truck to tackle any terrain, according to the company. Additionally, Liebherr says the TA 230 was designed for easy maintenance. A smart machine checkup and unhindered access to the engine bay minimize daily maintenance work.

Lastly, the R 914 is the smallest Liebherr crawler excavator, featuring what the company describes as “a powerful diesel engine and particularly high breakout forces.” The sensitivity of the hydraulic system enables the operator to work with precision at high speeds – even when moving. And a short rear slewing radius of just 1.55 meters delivers greater safety for operators and machines.
