The annual Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference is returning to South Florida, with the magazine hosting the popular aggregate industry event next week at a familiar venue.

The Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference will take place Jan. 24-25 at The Biltmore in Coral Gables, Florida. The Biltmore, located outside of Miami, hosted the event in 2019.

“The Biltmore was undoubtedly one of the more popular Roundtable destinations in the history of our event,” says Rob Fulop, publisher of Pit & Quarry. “At the time, we heard a number of overwhelmingly positive sentiments from those who experienced The Biltmore, so we’re excited to bring the aggregate industry’s leaders back to this prestigious venue in 2023.”

The two-day Roundtable & Conference brings aggregate producers together each year with equipment manufacturers, dealers and other industry professionals for networking, roundtable-style discussions, golf and more.

The magazine covers the event registration and one night’s lodging for qualified producers. A cocktail reception traditionally welcomes attendees to the event, and breakfast and lunch are provided the day of the Roundtable. Participants also have the opportunity to play a complimentary round of golf at The Biltmore’s 18-hole, par-71 championship golf course designed by Donald Ross.

Roundtable history

Pit & Quarry first hosted the event that morphed into the modern-day Roundtable & Conference in 1996. Originally dubbed the Equipment & Technology Suppliers Roundtable, the event incorporated aggregate producers in its early years and was eventually rebranded as the Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference.

Pit & Quarry takes the Roundtable & Conference to different cities each year after hosting the inaugural meeting in Cleveland at the corporate office of the magazine’s parent company. Florida is often a destination for the Roundtable, with premier venues in Bonita Springs, Capitva Island and Naples serving as past hosts. Other cities that hosted a Roundtable over the last 25 years include Chicago, Nashville, and Asheville, North Carolina.

The magazine hosted the 2022 Roundtable at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort outside of Atlanta. Find out what you missed from the June event here.
