The requirements of operating in hazardous locations and environments are many. That’s why ABB’s new AXR large AC NEMA motors are designed to meet API 541 and 547 standards with a more powerful and compact design. They provide more horsepower per pound than conventional TEFC motors with but a smaller frame size in some ratings, enabling compact installations in remote locations.
