Philippi-Hagenbuch (PHIL) will feature its Positive Seal Autogate tailgate for off-highway trucks and roll-off containers at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2020.

The tailgate will be on display in booth N11067.

According to the company, the Positive Seal Autogate tailgate can be designed for any off-highway truck or roll-off containers, and it can also be paired with PHIL’s fluidic seal material in an effort to contain liquid material.

The tailgate’s scissors-style mechanism provides maximum opening clearance at full dump, according to PHIL, and, when closed, the new design locks into place and will not open under normal conditions without the body or container entering “dump” mode.

Additionally, the design builds up the back portion of the truck body, creating a cohesive flange from which the tailgate compresses. Two hooks on either side of the flange base intercept a corresponding tailgate tag, allowing the tailgate to turn inward as the sidearm and over-center locking mechanism locks the rear tailgate into place.

The Positive Seal Autogate tailgate can also be outfitted with sideboards to increase truck body capacity. The sideboards are available in 1-in. increments from 6 in. up to 40 in. Optional body seals, fluidic seals and cushion pads are also available for customization.
