PQ1310_load-volvo-eotd300Volvo Construction Equipment says its hauler chassis can be fitted with a timber hauler, water tank, hook lift, ejector body or a fifth wheel to pull a trailer. A bolt-on frame extension is available for the A25F and A30F-based machines. The extension, which is offered in two lengths – 47 in. and 67 in. – means longer or larger volumes can be supported. Central to the articulated hauler concept is the articulated steering system, according to Volvo. This allows for short turning circles, which is useful in confined loading areas and on tightly turning haul roads. The self-compensating hydro-mechanical system also gives operators outstanding control of the machine through both its high steering force in tough off-road conditions and its accurate, safe operation at high speeds, the company says
