By |  April 4, 2018

The Georgia Construction Aggregate Association (GCAA) recently held its Management Workshop at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta.

According to the association, a record number of 600-plus plant management and industry executives turned out to hear programs built around the themes of safety, education, community relations and sustainability. Additionally, exhibitors were featured at the association’s “miniConAgg,” sharing products and services.

Management Workshop attendees heard industry and transportation updates from Dan Garcia, president of CW Matthews; Georgia State Sen. Brandon Beach, chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee; and Georgia Department of Transportation leadership.

“We were thrilled with the enthusiastic turnout to our annual Management Workshop,” says Jeff Wansley, GCAA executive director. “This trade show is one of the rare chances during the year for all of our plant managers and executives in the aggregates industry to come together and reconnect. Coming off a successful 2017, attendees were optimistic about the opportunities for strong growth in the aggregates industry in 2018. This workshop is a way for our members to get the industry, economic and regulatory information that they need to plan and make the most of the exciting year ahead.”
