Ralph Rogers: 2014 Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame Inductee

Ralph Rogers, a 2014 Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame inductee, laid the groundwork for what is now one of the largest privately owned aggregate companies in the United States. Rogers and his partners were among the first road builders involved in President Dwight Eisenhower’s Interstate Highway System, supplying stone and building major interstate sections in Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. He created and maintained a corporate culture where the “man in the pit” was just as important as the executives or elected officials.
