Mellott Co. hires manager to spearhead Mellott University

Tony Valente joined Mellott Co. as training manager of Mellott University.

According to Mellott Co., Mellott University offers a program that prepares students for service technician and plant operator careers in the aggregates industry. Currently, several students from a vocational-technical school are participating in a nine-month, two-semester program with Mellott Co. employees. The students attend classes and spend several hours each day in service and fabrication shops participating in hands-on learning activities.

Valente will be building and leading the instruction of this university-style curriculum for Mellott Co., as well as managing the continuing education for Mellott Co. employees.

Mellott Co. provides solutions in the crushing and screening realms, partnering with the aggregate, slag, construction and power industries as a service provider. The company offers services such as contract crushing, engineered systems, equipment and parts.
