Firmatek, a Texas-based technology company operating in the stockpile measurement and aggregate mapping industry, launched its new software development department.

The department’s objective is to enhance the current customer experience while also expanding Firmatek’s offerings, according to the company.

Johnathan Leppert, a senior software engineer with experience building geospatial data visualization tools, will lead the department. In his new role, Leppert will be responsible for developing and managing Firmatek’s client portal, focusing on data visualization tools, automation and machine learning. Leppert previously worked for both Kespry and Airware.

“We strive to remain at the forefront of innovation and technology to provide the best in precise and efficient data collection and processing to our clients,” says Firmatek President Lauren Elmore. “This marks a significant shift in building our abilities to maintain and improve our client experience with internal resources. These internal capabilities will allow us to better serve our clients and build the experience that they need in order to best utilize the insight we provide in their business.”
