Caterpillar implements leadership, company changes

As a result of three vice presidents retiring, Caterpillar has made a number of leadership changes and appointments.

Paolo Fellin, Greg Folley and George Taylor, three of the company’s vice presidents, have elected to retire. Fellin served as vice president of the company’s Global Construction & Infrastructure Division; Folley as vice president of Cat’s Industry Solutions, Components & Distribution Division; and Taylor as vice president of the company’s Marketing & Digital Division.

Following the retirement announcements, the company is creating two new divisions: the Product Support & Logistics Division and the Digital Enabled Solutions Division. Chris Snodgrass, who currently serves as general manager for Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division, was appointed vice president of the Product Support & Logistics Division. The company is currently searching for a vice president to head the newly created digital division.

In addition, Caterpillar’s board of directors appointed Damien Giraud, who currently serves as worldwide product manager for Caterpillar’s large excavators, as vice president of its Global Construction & Infrastructure Division.

“Damien brings an exceptional focus on our customers to this position,” says Jim Umpleby, CEO of Caterpillar. “That customer focus combined with his global work experience, deep industry knowledge and his strong and transparent communication skills make him ideally suited for this position.”
