Western Global, a manufacturer of fuel and fluid storage solutions, debuted a new product line and highlighted current products earlier this month at ConExpo-Con/Agg.

The company showcased its developments in on-site fuel and fluid storage solutions, as well as how to improve fueling efficiency on jobsites. Western Global had exhibits in South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center and outdoors in the Diamond Lot.

The exhibit in South Hall focused on the company’s fuel storage solutions for extending generator runtime and refueling jobsite equipment. The booth featured 251-gallon and 1,204-gallon TransCube Global transportable fuel tanks, plus the TransCube mobile refueler trailer-mounted tank.

The double-walled, cube-shaped fuel tanks offer 110 percent containment and meet the required certifications for full-fuel transport, Western Global says. On display was a TransCube Global fuel tank that was previously filled with 260 gallons of water and dropped from 80 ft. during a test to demonstrate the fuel tank’s ability to withstand tough jobsite conditions.

Western Global also highlighted its new diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) storage offerings. According to the company, DEF storage can be difficult as it has to be stored in plastic.

To solve this problem, the company debuted its DEF Cube, a 132-gallon storage tank that can be situated next to on-site fuel storage tanks so operators can fill equipment with both fluids at the same time, according to Western Global. The DEF Cube has the same features of the TransCube Global, including four-way forklift pockets for easy transport, lockable compartments for enhanced security and a stackable design, the company says.

Western Global also debuted its Top Tote, a 110-gallon DEF storage solution that can attach to three models of TransCube Global fuel tanks – the 20TCG, 40TCG or 50TCG. The company says this is a significant advancement for end users, as it creates a two-in-one storage solution that holds both DEF and diesel at the same time.

“Until now, DEF has been a universal problem without a universal solution,” says Jeff Lowe, vice president of product marketing at Western Global. “Our DEF Cube and Top Tote are the quantum leap for DEF storage. Our customers are looking for the same experience with DEF as they get with diesel, and these new storage tanks answer that call with the versatility to connect to and fill any piece of equipment.”

Both the DEF Cube and Top Tote are designed with a poly interior to substantially reduce weight and cost, the company says. Western Global says the design provides integrated heating options for DEF, with both systems capable of operating for extended run times in cold weather conditions.

“With Tier 4 Final engines in place to meet goals for a more sustainable world, DEF will continue to be a staple in the industry,” says Alex Shmantowsky, field product specialist at Western Global. “Until now, there hasn’t been a scalable solution that can be adapted based on jobsite size and equipment needs. The DEF Cube and Top Tote are designed to provide the answer everyone’s been looking for with lightweight designs that can go wherever you need them.”

In its Diamond Lot exhibit, Western Global highlighted its full range of tanks. Among the equipment featured there was the P12 TransTank Pro, a 3,223-gallon fuel storage tank that is designed for large refueling needs.
