Volvo Penta offers Tier 4 Final emissions-compliant 143- to 700-horsepower engines that are well suited to a host of off-road applications including harsh and dusty workplaces like mines and quarries. With Volvo Penta’s optional heavy-duty package, you can reduce unplanned stops and increase engine uptime. New options include a heavy-duty cooling system, with side-by-side cooling packages that are able to withstand pressure washing, a heavy-duty wiring harness, with cables that are practically immobile and are able to withstand the extreme vibrations in stone crushers or mining equipment and a heavy-duty air filter that requires fewer stops to make filter changes.
