Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) expanded its H-Series 2.0 updates to the L60H and L70H wheel loaders.

The updates include enhanced productivity features such as higher tipping loads and a new loader arm design, as well as improve fuel efficiency.

The L90H wheel loader joins the L60H and L70H in improved fuel efficiency, as all three mid-sized machines boast up to 25 percent greater fuel efficiency than their predecessors, according to the company.

Additional fuel-saving features include a smart control function to ensure correct torque in all situations, a smooth control function to help operators maintain a steady throttle position, a rim pull control function to reduce wheel spin and slippage, and a lock-up torque converter (an option on the L70H and L90H) to lower RPM and increase speed.

Other key features of the H-Series 2.0 loaders include a slideable cooler to more easily remove dirt and debris, a 50 percent larger cooling area, a 3-in. higher dump height on the L90H, electro-servo hydraulic controls, improved serviceability and a delayed engine shutdown option.
