Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) opened a parts distribution center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to better serve its customers in the country. This 181,000-sq.-ft. center replaced a regional parts depot in Toronto.
According to Volvo CE, the new facility is part of the company’s strategy to ensure the highest uptime in the industry. Volvo CE will now be able to deliver critical parts the day after an order is placed to dealers in most major markets across Canada, the company adds.
“We’re very excited with the opening of this modern, efficient parts distribution center, which is part of our strategy to improve uptime not only in Canada, but across North America,” says Stephen Roy, president of Volvo CE Americas. “It shows Volvo CE’s commitment to provide our customers with premium machines and premium after-sales services.”
This new facility comes after the company opened a 1 million-sq.-ft. distribution center in Byhalia, Mississippi, as well as other parts distribution centers in Columbus, Ohio, and Reno, Nevada.
