The DustBoss DB-60 Surge water cannon from BossTek was launched as a response to the needs of customers in areas with variable winds. The DB-60 Surge is designed to fight dust with water propelled at a high velocity from a center nozzle, combined with a fan and a misting ring system. It features three remote-controlled stages and precision oscillation for command over water volume and coverage area, BossTek says. The cannon uses high-powered jets that surge through wind for more than 250 ft. to suppress both surface and airborne dust, according to the company.

Radar level sensors provide dust management solution

The BinMaster NCR-80 is a non-contact radar level sensor designed for superior performance in extremely dusty powders and bulk solids. Its powerful 80-gigahertz frequency focused in a narrow 4-degree beam angle with a measuring range up to 393 ft. and accuracy within 0.2 in. means it excels in tall and narrow vessels. The NCR-80 is offered with a 10-degree swiveling, stainless steel flange for precise targeting; a lightweight plastic antenna with an 8-degree swiveling flange or a mounting strap for adjustable targeting; or a 1.5-in. NPT-mounting option for use in an existing process connection. The NCR-80 is resistant to interference, BinMaster says, and its advanced filters ensure rapid signal processing and an update rate of less than one second.
