thyssenkrupp introduced a pair of new crushing developments at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2020, including a hard rock crusher and a reversible impact crusher.

The hard rock crusher from thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions is the Eccentric Roll Crusher, which is a new type of hard rock crusher featuring a low-profile design with an integrated grizzly and throughputs of up to 8,000 metric tph. The Eccentric Roll Crusher is suitable in both underground and surface crushing plants, the company says.

The reversible impact crusher from thyssenkrupp, meanwhile, is the variopactor, which has a modular design that can be adapted to a variety of applications. The variopactor can produce gravel, chippings or mechanical sand, according to the company.

thyssenkrupp showcased a number of other innovations for the aggregate and mining industries at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2020, including a new Berco 800-hp track chain undercarriage that is made for heavy-duty applications. According to thyssenkrupp, the undercarriage is made to operate in all weather conditions and designed with a reinforced link, using stronger pins and bushings with a compatible sprocket and tailer link.

thyssenkrupp also showcased a single-toggle jaw crusher that can be utilized in the primary crushing stage. The crusher features swing jaw-enhanced kinematics with a high stroke in the feed and discharge area that ensures high throughput rates.

thyssenkrupp is a technology group focused on materials, with more than 162,000 employees across 78 countries.

“For more than 175 years, thyssenkrupp has been a part of the North American landscape,” says Peter Kupper, global vice president of sales and marketing for thyssenkrupp rothe erde.
