Terex Materials Processing acquired the assets of ZenRobotics, a company that designs and creates robots that pick, sort and recycle waste material.

According to Terex Corp., ZenRobotics focuses on smart robotic recycling with artificial intelligence software powering its robots.

Based in Finland, ZenRobotics will retain its name and become a Terex brand. The business unit will be the responsibility of Tony Devlin, who leads the Terex Materials Processing environmental businesses.

“ZenRobotics is an exciting, modern company that lends itself perfectly to our pre-existing environmental expertise, and their ethos of making a circular economy more possible aligns perfectly with our goals and targets for the future of Terex [Materials Processing],” Devlin says. “We’re excited to see the many ways that we can apply this technology and what potential this acquisition can bring Terex [Materials Processing] with the application of this technology.”

In 2021, Terex Materials Processing purchased MDS International, which manufactures trommels, apron feeders and conveyor systems.
