Telsmith promoted Jeff Gray to vice president of sales and marketing, and hired Kraig Thistle and Don Ruppert as regional sales managers.

Gray has worked at Telsmith for more than 22 years, starting as an applications specialist and also serving as domestic sales manager. In his new position, Gray will oversee all domestic and international sales and marketing efforts.

“I look forward to working with our talented global sales team to grow our brand and distribution partners worldwide, provide our customers with premium product knowledge, safe equipment and over-the-top service,” Gray says.

Thistle, in his new role as regional sales manager, will cover North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. He most recently covered the same area for McLanahan Corp., and spent 14-plus years with Telsmith prior to that.

“I’m pleased to be back to Telsmith in a sales position and eager to give current and future customers solutions on our cutting-edge and legacy equipment,” Thistle says.

Ruppert joins Telsmith with a background ranging from crushing and screening to sand manufacturing and fines management, according to the company. In his new role, Ruppert will be responsible for covering New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware.

“I am very excited and very proud to be a part of the Telsmith/Astec family,” Ruppert says. “I look forward to this new opportunity and working with both long-term relationships and new customers in the industry.”
