Superior debuts attrition mill
Superior Industries launched a new attrition mill within its line of washing and classifying machinery. According to the company, the mill provides an efficient solution for sand applications, including disintegration of conglomerates, material separation, and surface cleaning and polishing.
The attrition mill’s tank and propellers are coated with long-lasting urethane, which helps them endure tough sand cleaning applications. In addition, the mill was designed with round tubs in order to eliminate swirling and corner material collection. The attrition mill is also equipped with a large, watertight sealed door that eases maintenance for machine operators by eliminating the heavy lifting that comes with drive removal, Superior adds.
“The attrition mill’s 50 hp engine produces the same capacities as similar machines with three times the power, providing operators a quieter and more energy-efficient process,” says John Bennington, director of washing and classifying for Superior.
Superior Industries, headquartered in Morris, Minnesota, engineers and manufactures bulk material processing and handling equipment and components related to the machinery. It supplies bulk crushing, screening, washing and conveying systems for the construction aggregate, mining, bulk terminals, agriculture, power and biomass industries.
