Superior Industries has 45 products on display in the Silver Lot outside the Las Vegas Convention Center during this week’s ConExpo-Con/Agg.

Ahead of the show, marketing communications manager Corey Poppe offered a rundown of new equipment Superior is showcasing in its outdoor exhibit (Booth S5006). Poppe provided details on new Superior cone crushers, a modular platform product, portable plants and conveying components.

In cone crushers, Superior is launching two new models – the Dakota bearing-style cone crusher and the Endeavor spider-style cone. The Dakota and Endeavor join Superior’s Patriot bushing-style cone.

“We’re the only company with all three cone styles,” says Poppe, who provided company updates during a pre-show ConExpo-Con/Agg press conference Monday.

According to Superior, each of its three cone crushers offers unique advantages. Superior says the new Dakota bearing-style cone delivers the most efficient horsepower per ton, and it has an ideal design for a portable chassis. The Dakota can also perform in all applications, according to the company.

The Endeavor spider-style cone crusher, meanwhile, is the largest cone in Superior’s cone range. The company says the Endeavor is also the easiest cone model to operate and maintain.

The Patriot bushing-style cone, which Superior introduced several years ago, is best at maximizing horsepower per ton and delivering a strong performance in fine crushing.

Two other products Superior is unveiling at ConExpo-Con/Agg are Fusion modular platforms and the portable Sentry horizontal shaft impact (HSI) closed-circuit plant.

Superior says Fusion modular platforms are ideal for aggregate producers seeking semi-static plants that are easy to install and maintain – and with a more economical price point than portable plants or design-build projects.

“We like to think of these plants as Legos,” Poppe says. “They’re neatly packaged on flatbed trailers or for containers shipping overseas. “They go together very quickly.”

The Sentry HSI is yet another ConExpo-Con/Agg focus for Superior.

“We’ve played around with portable plants since our founding,” Poppe says. “We are now building more portable plants than at any time in our history.”

With an extensive history in conveying, Superior continues to introduce new products that offer advantages for modern-day operations.

New from Superior in this area at ConExpo-Con/Agg are the Titanium idler bearing seals and a modular skirting system. Poppe says the new idler bearing seals offer superior performance in dusty, gritty applications. The modular skirting system is a solution for operations looking to manage dust.

“The dust containment system is for our conveyors and any other conveyors – it retrofits to other conveyors,” says Poppe, adding that one reason Superior developed the modular skirting system is because the Mine Safety & Health Administration is intensifying its focus on dust.

Superior’s Exterra belt cleaners are also new and being introduced at ConExpo-Con/Agg.
