According to Soosan, the SS-2000 is one of the most advanced comfortable, reliable, productive and easily serviceable drill rigs on the market, featuring high penetration rates and low fuel consumption.

Powered by a Cummins X15 Tier 4 diesel engine, the SS-2000 is ready to tackle your 4.5-in. to 8-in. holes. The drill produces 950 cu. ft. per minute of air at 350 psi, Soosan says, and it has the capability to power the DTH hammer and clear holes with ease. The machine has an 8-in. touch screen monitor enabling users to view and check equipment status and system functions with a touch of the hand. Drilling depth and drilling angle is displayed in real-time on the monitor.

According to Soosan, many of the systems on the new Rock Commander are adjustable to meet the needs of the job. The dust collection system can easily be adjusted, allowing the pulsing time and on/off function of each filter.

Fine control of lubrication oil flow on the SS-2000 enables operators to adjust the oil flow to the hammer under all conditions. The operator can also increase or decrease the flow to the cooling pump to control the rpms of the fan to obtain the perfect operating temperature.
