Shur-Co LLC has released an IronSide electric roll tarp for side-dump trailers. The tarp features spring-return arms constructed from 2-in.-square, 14-gauge steel tubing. It uses a free-swinging arm design with a robust boxed hinge for increased support and a gear-reduced chain drive, which allows the roll tube to be driven by a drive shaft that’s supported on both sides with triple-sealed bearings. Aluminum roll tube allows the tarp to be lifted and suspended over loads with minimal deflection and without tarp support bows inside the trailer tub.
