Screen Machine’s message throughout ConExpo-Con/Agg was “three brands, one mission.”

Alongside Screen Machine offerings at the March 14-18 Las Vegas trade show, the company showcased the latest equipment and technology from SMI Compact and Diamond Z.

Screen Machine, for one, showcased its Spyder 516T portable screening plant and the 4043TR recirculating impact crushing plant. According to Dave Stewart, marketing director at Screen Machine, the 4043TR is the company’s best-selling model. The 4043TR delivers decreased downtime and increased productivity, he says.

According to Screen Machine, the 4043TR features a large double-deck screen with a front fines conveyor for sized materials. Operators can use the radial side overs conveyor that feeds back into the hopper as a second stacker. Plus, the crusher relief system clears blockages and minimizes downtime, Screen Machine says.

The Spyder 516T features Screen Machine’s Smooth Start technology, which the company says prolongs machine and component life by eliminating violent shaking during warmup and shutdown. The Spyder 516T can separate rock, soils, sand and gravel, plus construction and demolition materials, producing three different sizes of product simultaneously, the company says.

SMI Compact, meanwhile, highlighted the 90TS tracked screening plant and the 50TJ tracked jaw crusher at ConExpo-Con/Agg. According to the brand, the 90TS self-contained compact screening plant comes complete with a receiving hopper, a double-deck screen, a three-cylinder diesel engine and three stockpiling conveyors – all mounted on a remote-control tracked chassis.

The 50TJ is SMI Compact’s largest of five compact jaw crusher offerings – capable of crushing up to 50 tph – according to Stewart. He says the 50TJ can be connected to the 90TS to produce up to three sized products, depending on what is being processed.

Diamond Z grinders

Three Diamond Z products were also on display, with two of them making their debuts at ConExpo-Con/Agg.

Diamond Z highlighted the new DZC 8048T tracked stacking conveyor and the new DZT 621 trommel. Both pieces are produced by Screen Machine under the Diamond Z brand.

Stewart says Screen Machine leveraged its experience manufacturing its own radial stacker – the 8042 – to create Diamond Z’s flagship stacker option. The 8048T features radio remote control, a counterweighted design for optimal stockpiling capability, hydraulic top fold for ease of transportation, and a heavy-duty tracked undercarriage, according to Diamond Z.

The new DZT 621 trommel is a perfect complement to a Diamond Z grinder for processing and stacking newly processed material, the company adds. It features a 6-ft. x 21-ft. trommel barrel and a 180-degree radial fines stacker.

Also on display from Diamond Z was the DZH7000 horizontal grinder. This machine is optimal for any large-scale wood waste and land-clearing grinding operations, according to Diamond Z. It is equipped with an internal drive feed roller, allowing for easy maintenance access. Also, the grinder has fewer moving parts, ensures minimal spillage and has the highest surface torque in the industry, the company says.
