Scale and Control plans to release a telematics hardware solution and an accompanying database solution for the aggregate industry.

According to the Houston-based company, the system will provide a dynamic solution for small and large fleet operators who want control over fleet costs. It will also reduce maintenance costs and locate valuable assets, the company says.

The hardware provides users the ability to monitor remote equipment live or near live depending on the selected hardware selected, the company says. Alarms, text and email alerts can be set to enable immediate actions. Additionally, alerts can be set to items such as high temperature, low fuel or low oil pressure along with logic-based applications such as fuel level decreases while equipment isn’t running.

According to the company, the base hardware system provides Wi-Fi connectivity and an option for Wi-Fi and cellular communication. When Wi-Fi is available, the application can move machine information without the cost of a cellular plan. The cellular hardware option is available through the company with large volume data monitoring on your machines or assets. Domestic and international cellular data plans are available through the company.

The system can provide producers with the tools to manage vehicle tracking, remote diagnostics, predictive maintenance and remote vehicle interaction, the company adds. A company database allows producers to establish key monitoring metrics. Additionally, producers can locate assets on the map feature, see breadcrumbs and do geofencing.
