Construction equipment manufacturer Sany America Inc. appointed Mike Rhoda CEO. He replaces Tim Frank, who resigned as chairman in October.

A construction and industrial equipment executive with extensive international experience in marketing, operations, product development and sales, Rhoda will have overall responsibility for manufacturing, sales, marketing and support for all Sany equipment products in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America.

“Mike Rhoda has more than two decades of directly relevant experience in the off-highway equipment sector, including work in Asia and emerging markets,” said Sany Group Chairman of the Board Liang Wengen. “Mike’s strategic expertise and record of accomplishment will serve Sany well as we continue to grow our presence and further establish our brand as a market leader in North and Central America.”

Rhoda previously worked for Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment, where he was chief technology officer. He also served as vice president of product development at Volvo Construction Equipment, and president and CEO of its excavator business line. In addition, Rhoda held various senior management positions at Ingersoll Rand.

“I am honored that the board has selected me to lead Sany America and the dedicated and talented group of employees who work here,” Rhoda said. “We will build on the company’s recent successes, which include a significant expansion of our dealer network, as well as growing sales and profit in this important market.”
