Sandvik will establish a new business area – Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions – starting in January 2021.

According to the company, the new business area will consist of the current crushing and screening division, which is part of the Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology business area. This move is aimed to accelerate profitable growth within rock processing, Sandvik says.

In addition, the company promoted Anders Svensson to president of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions while also making him a new member of the Sandvik Group executive management team. Both appointments are effective in January.

Svensson, who joined the company in 2008, most recently served as president of Sandvik’s crushing and screening division.

“Sandvik is market leading with rock processing and our crushing and screening division is a well-performing business with exciting growth opportunities,” says Stefan Widing, president and CEO of Sandvik. “The business is today already operating quite independently from the rest of Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology, with its own manufacturing, sourcing and aftermarket. By establishing rock processing solutions as a business area, we will improve transparency and strengthen our growth ambitions within the area.”
