Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology will showcase several solutions at ConExpo-Con/Agg, focusing on new technologies and methods that support customer improvements.

“We’re driving innovation and digitalization throughout our entire portfolio, from new equipment to ever smarter customer services, conveying customer value and lower total cost of ownership across the whole Sandvik package,” says Victor Tapia, vice president of sales area USA at Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology. “At ConExpo-Con/Agg, we will showcase a compelling offering of products and services, all designed to benefit our customers’ bottom line in terms of increased safety, productivity and sustainability.”

Here are a few offerings ConExpo-Con/Agg attendees can expect to see at Sandvik’s Silver Lot 1 booth (S5249) at the Las Vegas Convention Center:

Drilling tech

Sandvik will display the Leopard DI650i down-the-hole drill rig, which is designed for demanding, high-capacity production applications in surface mining, as well as large-scale quarry applications.

According to Sandvik, the Leopard DI650i incorporates a highly ergonomic iCAB cabin, serviceability, mobility and fuel economy, along with scalable automation packages, to offer excellent overall productivity.

In addition to the actual drill rig being on display, visitors will be able to try out its performance using the Leopard DI650i drilling simulator to guide them through the drilling process.

Sandvik will also showcase the UJ440i, which the company describes as an intelligent, fuel-efficient and user-friendly mobile jaw crusher.

According to Sandvik, the UJ440i is a high-quality, robust and reliable unit that has proved itself capable of working throughout the world in all climate conditions. Customer benefits include trouble-free operation thanks to the mobile jaw crusher’s onboard integrated intelligence system. This allows for simplicity of operation, as the UJ440i is continuously and automatically monitored by the control system that operates the unit, enabling full optimization of production.

Designed on a fully tracked chassis and operated via radio remote control, the UJ440i is fitted with the Sandvik CJ412 jaw, which offers great size reduction and consistent production, Sandvik says.

Modular hanging screen

Additionally, Sandvik will display the modular double-deck hanging screen from its mobile crushing and screening offering, which connects to Sandvik QH332, QS332 and QI442 tracked crushers.

Unique benefits of the screen include an ability to be quickly adapted for operation in open- or closed-circuit configurations and an adjustment system that allows the screen to be quickly reconfigured to recirculate and produce a single-sized finished product or two-sized finished product.

Also in crushing, the new Sandvik CH840i cone crusher features mechanical upgrades, connectivity, advanced automation and rebuild possibilities, predicting performance, maximizing uptime and offering the best in sustainability at the lowest possible cost, the company adds.

The CH840i comes with the Automation and Connectivity System (ACS) as standard to continuously monitor and optimize crusher performance and control the complete lubrication system, increasing uptime and reliability. Connected to My Sandvik, Sandvik 800i crushers enable managers and operators to make fact-based decisions and directly identify areas for improvement, increasing uptime and availability.

Circular-motion screen

Also, Sandvik’s new SJ circular-motion screen range is specially designed for extra heavy-duty, medium- and fine-screening applications. The inclined screen range is ideal for screening after primary and secondary crushing, as a splitter screen to divide flows within a plant and for final screening of a finished fraction.

With a variety of options and adjustability, Sandvik says the new screening range can be optimized to each application.
