Sandvik appoints new business line manager

Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology appointed Raphael Carmona as its new business line manager for stationary crushing and screening in North America.

In this role, Carmona will be responsible for the company’s stationary crushing and screening business in Canada and the United States.

Carmona will be based in the Greater Atlanta area, which he will relocate to by early 2021. Carmona is currently the business line manager for crushing and screening in Brazil and is based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

His experience includes 14 years of progressively responsible positions with Sandvik, most of them dedicated to crushing and screening application, engineering and lifecycle sales, and sales support, according to Sandvik.

He acquired a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering in 2009. Raphael is also a 2012 graduate of the Sandvik International Mining School, and is an international mining engineer as a result.

Sandvik is a high-tech and global engineering group that offers products and services designed to enhance customer productivity, profitability and safety, according to the company.

It offers tools and tooling systems for metal cutting; equipment, service and technical solutions for the mining industry and rock excavation within the construction industry; products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys, as well as products for industrial heating. As of 2019, Sandvik has approximately 40,000 employees in more than 160 countries.
