Riggs Industries named Eric Knopsnyder director of marketing.

Knopsnyder replaces Shahira Hoffman, who will retire later this year following 20 years of service to the company.

In his new role, Knopsnyder will be responsible for working with the management teams of each of the company’s divisions to oversee marketing communications, including advertising, print and email communication, social media and each of the company’s six websites.

“We are excited that Eric has joined our team,” says Dan Yunetz, president of Riggs Industries. “We are confident his experience will help grow our organization through effective marketing strategy execution and implementation. On his first day, he put together an entertaining video for our social media outlets which memorialized J&J Truck Bodies and Trailers’ exhibit and customer experience at the recent Mid America Trucking Show. I am impressed with that kind of initiative and enthusiasm.”

Knopsnyder joins Riggs Industries with more than 20 years of experience in journalism and holds a bachelor’s degree in English writing and communication rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh.

Riggs Industries, through its subsidiaries, manufactures truck bodies, trailers and structural metal fabrications. The company also offers engineering, material handling, and industrial and general construction services.
