The Pennsylvania Aggregates & Concrete Association (PACA) hosted its Annual Meeting in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where Allegheny Mineral Corp.’s Jonathan Kolbe (left) received the 2022 Chairman’s Award. The PACA award recognizes those who advance the association’s mission and purpose. Kolbe, who received the award from Masters RMC’s Bob Housel (right), was honored for his efforts to amplify the industry’s voice through PACA’s political action committee.

Jacqueline Hill was also on hand at the PACA Annual Meeting, accepting a Hall of Fame honor on behalf of her grandfather, Paul Rader. Rader, who was enshrined posthumously, was a fixture at J.J. Kennedy. Additional details about PACA’s 2022 Hall of Fame class can be found here.

Nick Jackson, environmental specialist at Mid-States Materials, proudly posed with the award his company received from the National Association of State Land Reclamationists (NASLF). Mid-States received the 2022 Outstanding Mined Land Reclamation Award from NASLF for its conservation efforts at Plummer Creek Quarry in Scranton, Kansas. Says Jackson: “We continuously strive to be the model for the industry. [We are] extracting the resources for growth here in the present to provide a thriving future when we leave.”

Jamie Jones, COO of Capital Aggregates (left) and Chris Williams, vice president of operations at Capital Materials (right), were on hand for the MLPA Annual Convention at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri. Dan Kleinsorge (center), executive director of MLPA, says more than 440 people attended the three-day event with 41 companies exhibiting.
