1.) Vulcan Materials’ Ed Everett presented a check to Kathy Loudermilk, a representative of Big Brother Big Sisters of East Tennessee, as part of the Quarry Crusher Run through the company’s Kingsport Quarry. 2019 marked the third year for the race, which drew more than 100 runners.

2.) Philippi-Hagenbuch was awarded the 2019 Barry L. MacLean Manufacturer of the Year award from the Illinois’ Manufacturers’ Association. Seated in the front row, from left, are Philippi-Hagenbuch’s Josh Swank, Danette Swank and LeRoy Hagenbuch.

3.) Nate Mathew, aggregate sales representative at The Shelly Company, a CRH company, participated in the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) annual Legislative & Policy Forum. Based in Ohio, Mathew visited congressmen from the Buckeye State during the November lobbying event.

4.) Ash Grove Aggregates’ Keith Stevens (left), the outgoing president of the Missouri Limestone Producers Association (MLPA), presented an award to Power Equipment Co.’s Lance Green for his four years as MLPA associate member president. The award was presented during MLPA’s 75th Annual Convention in December.

5.) Pallette Stone Corp. provided a quarry tour for the New York Construction Materials Association’s (NYMaterials) Young Guns as part of NYMaterials’ Annual Meeting. Those in the Young Guns program, which is loosely modeled after NSSGA’s Young Leaders group, saw the quarry operation in Saratoga Springs, New York, along with drum and batch asphalt plants, a central mix concrete plant and an on-site precast facility.
