Last month at Pit & Quarry, we launched our Road to Recovery series to help guide producers through the trying business environment we all find ourselves in.

With unique and ever-changing obstacles challenging quarry operators, P&Q is doing what we’ve done best for the last 104 years: providing news, information and data, along with the latest in equipment and technology. We are keeping producers informed with mostly original content that’s specific to our industry – content that is not available elsewhere. Good decisions, after all, are rooted in good information.

Our editorial team has responded to this crisis by strengthening P&Q’s coverage to better address your current needs. Our content includes best practices, interviews with industry leaders and experts, economic forecasts, datapoints that monitor and benchmark the industry, and updates on legislation, regulation and stimulus packages.

All of this information will be communicated throughout P&Q’s many platforms, including our print publication, our newly launched Road to Recovery e-newsletter, at pitandquarry.com and on our Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter pages.

In addition, with the absence this year of MINExpo International and the sales force limitations equipment suppliers face, P&Q will, as always, keep you up to date on the very latest equipment and technology developments. We aim to increase your productivity, efficiency, profitability and safety.

Although it appears the economic recovery will take longer than most of us like, it is important for us all to continue to conduct business. Producers still need to process material. Roads and bridges need to be built and maintained. Suppliers must sell equipment – and the list of things that must get done in a safe and responsible manner goes on.

Of course, there will be bumps in the road during this recovery, but we will be there every step of the way to keep you informed.

History

P&Q’s Road to Recovery series concept is not completely new. P&Q originally published Road to Recovery content during the last recession in the fall of 2009. In recent months, we revisited this idea and ultimately relaunched it, including more original content from a variety of sources and providing it on our modern-day platforms.

Assuming you’re engaged in the many platforms Pit & Quarry has to offer, you will see our Road to Recovery theme and logo in these places throughout the second half of this year. We hope you find the series informative and valuable, and, as always, we welcome your comments.
