The next Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference, which is slated for Feb. 1-2 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is now just a month away.

“We are very much looking forward to hosting the 2024 Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference at the esteemed PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens,” says Rob Fulop, group publisher at Pit & Quarry. “This venue will be new for our event. Its location and the amenities offered there are consistent with the standards our event has offered over the 20-plus years it’s been held.”

The Roundtable, an annual event Pit & Quarry hosts, presents producers with a plethora of opportunities to network with equipment manufacturers, dealers and other leaders from around the aggregate industry. Producers who attend also get industry updates related to legislation, regulation and safety, and they’re presented with a forecast for the year to come on construction materials.

Another component of the 2024 Roundtable will be roundtable-style discussions between the event’s attendees. Topics discussed at the 2023 Roundtable included equipment and technology, sustainability, safety and the year ahead.

Additionally, Pit & Quarry will host a golf outing for Roundtable attendees Feb. 1 at The Fazio, one of six golf courses at PGA National Resort.

The Roundtable’s history

Pit & Quarry first hosted the event that morphed into the modern-day Roundtable & Conference in 1996. Originally dubbed the Equipment & Technology Suppliers Roundtable, the event incorporated aggregate producers in its early years and was eventually rebranded as the Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference.

Pit & Quarry takes the Roundtable to different U.S. cities each year after hosting the inaugural meeting in Cleveland at the corporate office of the magazine’s parent company. Florida is often a destination for the Roundtable, with premier venues in Bonita Springs, Captiva Island and Naples serving as past hosts. Other cities that hosted a Roundtable over the last 25 years are Chicago, Nashville, and Asheville, North Carolina.

The magazine has not yet selected a venue or dates for the 2025 Roundtable, but those potentially interested in attending next year can contact editor-in-chief Kevin Yanik at kyanik@northcoastmedia.net.
