PPI (Precision Pulley & Idler) was granted a limited premium partnership spot by Vayeron, an Industrial Internet of Things OEM for the mining and bulk material handling industry.

Specifically, PPI is now a Vayeron Global Premium Partner. PPI describes Vayeron as rapidly growing the global distribution of its Smart-Idler product line.

Through the partnership, customers in the U.S., Canada and Latin American countries will have access to PPI conveyor components powered by Vayeron Smart-Idler technology.

“We are excited to partner with Vayeron to add innovative sensor and data-collection solutions to our proven idler designs to further reduce unplanned downtime and ensure maximum operating profits for our customers,” says Dan Ricklefs, PPI vice president of marketing.

According to PPI, idlers represent a significant maintenance challenge for most bulk materials handling conveyor systems, as the large quantity of idlers contained within a system means inspection and replacement routines are reliant on a reactive maintenance program. End users regularly experience significant operational losses and flow-on damage to their conveyor belts due to unmitigated conveyor roller failure, PPI adds.

“Over past decades, we’ve worked closely with our customers to understand the unique demands of their applications,” Ricklefs says. “We’ve used this experience to develop industry-leading pulley and idler solutions for many markets, including the bulk materials industry.”

Ryan Norris, managing director and CEO of Vayeron, offered additional insight on what end users can expect from PPI becoming a Vayeron Global Premium Partner.

“This Premium Partner program has been designed to better align our company with the best conveyor roller manufacturers in the world and to ensure that we collaborate seamlessly to deliver smart roller solutions that are powered by Vayeron,” Norris says. “Any end users who are looking to create a step change improvement in how they maintain their conveyor systems can obtain their solution from PPI.”
