ABB’s Dodge Safety Mount spherical bearings are designed with a locking mechanism that uses the tightening of fasteners to mount and dismount as opposed to using a hammer and other tools. The system improves safety by utilizing a dual locknut for ease of installation and removal from the same side of the bearing, ABB says, because only one installer is needed. The bearings are suited for a range of heavy-duty applications, including bulk material handling, and are offered in split cap and single-piece housing options. The options include standard SAF, metric SN, Type E and Imperial housing dimensions in sizes 4 15/16 in. to 7 in.

The Browning TorqTitan notched belt utilizes innovative elastomers, optimized cord arrangements and notch profiles to make it the most power-dense and energy-efficient V-belt that Regal Beloit Corp. ever produced, the company says. The high-horsepower belt outperforms similarly sized belts in a range of applications, Regal adds, while being 30 percent stronger. No re-tensioning is needed, and the belt requires neither maintenance nor downtime. The specially engineered shape in the notch design reduces bending stresses for improved flexibility, increased heat dissipation and better performance on small pulley diameters, Regal says. The TorqTitan belt, with a newly formulated EPDM rubber material, resists hardening to avoid cracking in temperatures up to 260 degrees, making it an ideal solution for hot-air HVAC applications or other high-temperature environments. Similarly, the belt maintains exceptional performance in extreme cold conditions – as low as minus 58, Regal says.
